The American Dream

September 18, 2009

The American Dream is starting out as nothing and becoming someone or something great in life. A Living example of this is my favorite comedian named George Lopez. He started out as nothing, his parents rejected him, his grandmother would beat him until he bled, no one in his family believed in him. Now his name is on the Walk of Fame. He made it without anyone’s help. He has his own television series and his own stand up comedy show on HBO and Comedy Central.

My American Dream is very much different from others. Most people want to be wealthy and have a nice big family and nice big home. Well my dream is the same. Some people want to be movie stars or rich, that’s their idea of an American Dream but mine is neither of those. My American Dream is just to grow up wealthy and have a nice big family and friends and have a nice big home and even a really good job that will help me support my family.

My parents American Dream is to be rich and not have to worry about anything else in the world but as you read in the paragraph above mine is very much different.

I personally think the American Dream is accessible to everyone because if they really want it, then can achieve it with hard work and determination because everyone has the right to achieve their American Dream. Unfortunately, American is not fulfilling the promise of the American Dream because of the problem American is in right now, such as the Recession we are currently in. But I do believe American will prosper again and be able to fulfill the promise is the American Dream to everyone.

I believe all people have equal opportunities to reach the American Dream because it just takes hard work and determination and most people have those two qualities. It could be easier for some people to reach the American Dream because some people are just born with it or some people can reach is very easily because of their background or family history, well that’s what I think anyways.

The American Dream is never limited to just America, it is available for people around the world who want the American Dream and it is very possible for them to reach it even though they are from a different country. If you really think about it, “American Dream,” is a dream, not something that requires you to be someone you’re not, if you catch my drift.

The American Dream is still worth believing and pursuing because it’s a wonderful thing to achieve and have; people today are still pursuing their American Dream so yes I do believe it is worth it.

I have not yet been working to achieve My American Dream but in the near future I will be working towards it and I will reach it, I guarantee it.

I do believe I will reach my American Dream because I am a hard worker and a determined human being
